It’s Hot! Stay Cool: Make Hummus for Dinner

This simple recipe uses fresh garlic and lemon, a can of organic chick peas, salt, pepper, cumin, olive oil and Tahini. Drain the chick peas and add 1/2 cup of oil per can. Add garlic, cumin and seasoning to taste. Strain lemon so you don’t get sour pits in the creamy mixture. Blend or puree for 5 minutes until the ingredients are uniform. Sample before removing from blender or food processor to be sure it’s to your liking. Store covered in the fridge up to a week. Enjoy with toast, veggies or crackers for a rich and healthy protein source with nourishing fat. Let me know what you think.
